More about the Event:
FestivICE presented by York Traditions Bank is York's cold-defying winter ice festival hosted on MLK weekend. In its 4th season in Downtown York, PA, FestivICE is partnering with Children's Aid Society Southern Pennsylvania District to further its mission of helping children and their families build stronger, healthier lives.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The expanded winter party will kick off that Thursday night (1/7/19) with a craft event by Creative York and a screening of The Incredibles at the Capitol Theater, both part of CelebrateARTS, an initiative of the Cultural Alliance of York County. York Young Professionals will host a social at Cherry Lane as well.
Friday’s schedule (1/18/19) to date includes live ice carvings and a free silent disco after party at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, also part of CelebrateARTS.
Saturday (1/19/19) will feature a full day of family friendly activities, live music, fire pits, s’mores, and more including a special York Flea during FestivICE in Central Market York. Visit the York Traditions Bank tent in Cherry Lane Park to spin the prize wheel from noon to 5 p.m.

FestivICE is an extension of the holidays with over 20,000 pounds of interactive ice and even more entertainment. We're talking about fire pits for roasting s'mores while chillaxin' on the adirondack chairs, checking out the bands in the ice park, dancing with the FestivICE Yeti to the "Yeti Stomp", and letting the kids luge down the FREE 40' ice slide in Cherry Lane Park! Do not miss your chance to snap a stunning shot with the interactive ice and go big on social with the #FestiviceYork tag.
FestivICE falls on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend and we're celebrating his heroism and the message he shared. The theme of the ice will be heroes and the event intends to bring the whole community together for camaraderie, family fun, and ice cold art depicting elements of heroes local and beyond. Come outside, be with your friends and neighbors, and break cabin fever during the cold and glacially slow-moving month of January.
Laugh at the cold... We'll see you at FestivICE!!!
